Who are we?

The North East of Scotland (N.E.S) Bushcraft group was founded in 2010.  When a group of like minded bushcrafters got to know each other while posting on a bushcraft forum and decided to get together for our first meet up at Aden Country park in Mintlaw.

Since then membership has increased and we meet up a few times a year.  We are happy to share our knowledge and skills, while spending a few days in the peace of the woods around the communal fire under the parachute.

We have a few locations that we use for our meets, each with its own beauty and resources.  As a way of saying thank you to our hosts we try and give a little back, doing conservation work, demonstrations or impromptu classes.  We have a strict "leave no trace policy" and always try to leave a site better than we found it.

So whether its Bushcraft, primitive skills, wilderness survival or simply camping out, everybody is welcome. Taking part, learning, sharing your knowledge and skills is what it's all about.  As well as having time to chill out, gather your thoughts, or simply wonder at the infinite beauty and variety of nature and the world around us.
